Verse of the Week

Standard

Proverbs 19:11 NLT Sensible people control their temper; they earn respect by overlooking wrongs.

*Here are a few tips or suggestions for anyone who wants to not only learn God’s word, but also start applying it to their daily lives.

  1. There is nothing wrong with reading dozens of scriptures all at once, but focusing on one specific verse to dissect, start applying to your life and really begin hiding in your heart might cause a larger transformation.

For example, if you have difficulty trying not to fight with another sibling start redirecting your attention to scriptures pertaining directly with this area in your life. So I would suggest that you focus on Proverb 17:19, “Anyone who loves to quarrel loves sin; anyone who trusts in high walls invites disaster,” and every time you find yourself tempted to begin or participate in another dispute with this person or in any area of your life start saying this scripture out loud so that you’ll truly began walking by the word of God.

2. But you might also want to write down the scriptures your applying to your life and if you are studying with different translations such as the NLT still write down the verse in the KJV so that you can start memorizing these scriptures by heart.
